Tonight we'll chronicle the greatest turnaround I've ever experienced. This is Brit for Men, a male version of Burberry's tartan-coated perfume.
Brit for Men was made in 2004, and designed by Fabien Baron. The perfumer was Antoine Maisondieu, of the Givaudan firm.
The box and bottle are instantly recognizable as Burberry by the signature plaid pattern. The box is an old-fashioned soft cardboard piece, and the smoked glass (printed with matching pattern) is well-textured to the touch. The bottle itself is plainly shaped, but very well done.
A light whiff of the scent escapes the bottle as the cap is taken off. A light spritz on the wrist reveals green mandarin and cardamom, and a thinly veiled bergamot. It's one of those scents that grows in strength a few minutes after application, so apply lightly.
It later opens up into a symphony of Wild Roses and Nutmeg, and finally closes after a club night and an hour at the bar with grey musk and tonka beans.
According to basenotes, we have:
Top Notes: Green Mandarin, Ginger, Bergamot, Cardamom
Middle Notes: Wild roses, Cedarwood, Nutmeg
Base Notes: Oriental Woods, Grey Musk, Tonka Bean.
Packaging: 8/10- Classy, with very good intent. Good materials, beautiful bottle.
Scent: 8.5/10- It's not amazing. But it does smell very good. And that's all you can ask for. Ladies seem to like it. So why don't you?
Longevity- 9/10- It lasts on you. Whether you want it or not.
Blogger's note: I used to hate this fragrance.

Whoa, I want to try this now... and I'm a girl
